Día de Los Muertos Exhibit

The opening of the exhibit was on November 1st. It was a great evening with a lot of people showing up and with beautiful artwork hanging from the walls. I feel very fortunate to be included in this group exhibit with a lot of different artists. If you are interested the artwork will be on exhibition at La Peña for a few weeks at Congress Avenue and 3rd street.

My Story

Hello! I’m Fernando Muñoz, a Chilean self-taught artist who started this creative journey in 2013, inspired by my experiences across Chile, Oregon, Texas, and now Lisbon.

My work spans drawing, printmaking, ceramics, photography, and poetry, blending surreal motifs with themes of duality, melancholy, and belonging. I've had the chance to exhibit in some amazing places, from solo shows like Ciudades Imaginarias in Lisbon and Imaginary Cities at La Peña Gallery in Austin, to venues like Austin Bergstrom International Airport and No Me Olvides at Big Medium.

Right now, you can find me creating at my studio/gallery at LX Factory in Lisbon. For almost a decade, I’ve also been curating exhibitions at La Peña Gallery, supporting fellow Latino artists.

My art is featured in the Carrie Tiemann, Vasu Kulkarni, and Dolores C. Garcia and Gilberto Cardenas Collections. In 2019, I was honored to be named the Brite Tank Artist by Thirsty Planet Brewing Co.

You'll find my studio nestled in the vibrant LX Factory in Lisbon.
As for my poison of choice? Coffee, always coffee.
